How to Help
Know people who receive TV signals with an outdoor antenna or rabbit ears? Refer them to this Web site:
Know people who need help to get ready for the transition? Organize an on-site visit:
1. Before your on-site visit, consult our interactive map, find the location where the person you are helping lives, and note the transition plans of their local stations.
2. Print out the "Are You Ready" Checklist and, for each television set, follow the steps in the Checklist.
3. When setting a date and a time for your on-site visit, take into account the opening hours of nearby electronic stores in case the person you are helping needs to buy equipment to be ready for the transition.
Only offer help to, or accept help from, people you know. The Government of Canada does not recognize any official agent or volunteer for on-site help with the transition to over-the-air digital television.
