Over-the-air television stations in the following locations are required to make the transition to over-the-air digital television or have indicated that they will do so voluntarily. Some stations may simply be moving to another analog channel, and some may choose to discontinue their broadcasting activities.

As well, stations in areas not listed below may also decide to switch to digital over-the-air broadcasting or discontinue their broadcasting activities. These include CBC/Radio-Canada transmitters that will be shut down as part of the Corporation's decision to discontinue all remaining over-the-air analog broadcasting as of July 31, 2012.

The majority of Canadians will not be affected because they receive their television signals via cable, satellite or the Internet.
